YOUR PRIVACY

A little clarity.

Contacting the team

When you send an enquiry, your name, email address and message are saved in our private editorial inbox so the team can respond. Please avoid including sensitive personal information.

Article comments

Your submitted name and comment appear publicly on the article. An optional email address is available only to the editorial team and is not displayed publicly. Comments remain until removed by the team; use the contact form for correction or deletion requests.

Understanding our audience

We count visits to public pages and aggregate them by day, page path, referring website and device category. This counter does not use tracking cookies or store raw IP addresses, full referrer URLs or personal visitor profiles. Repeated page visits count again. We also aggregate approximate city, region and country supplied by our host. To estimate daily visitors, we store a keyed hash of network address and browser information that changes each day; it cannot link visits across days. Counts and these daily hashes are retained for up to 365 days. We do not collect GPS locations or exact addresses.

For abuse prevention, a short-lived, keyed hash of the requesting network address is used for rate limits. These records expire within 15 minutes and expired records are removed on subsequent requests. Studio access uses an essential, secure sign-in cookie that expires after eight hours.

If enabled by the site owner, Vercel Web Analytics also measures traffic. The site is hosted on Vercel; content, contact enquiries and aggregate traffic counts are stored privately in Vercel Blob, and uploaded images are held in a separate public Vercel Blob store. Hosting providers may process technical request information to operate their services.

Your choice

We honour your browser’s Do Not Track setting for analytics. You can also opt out here. Your preference is saved only in this browser and does not remove counts already aggregated.

Questions or data requests

Use our contact form to ask about a message you submitted or request its deletion. Contact enquiries are kept until the team removes them; please contact us if you would like yours removed.
